Finding that right piece

Treatment in ayurveda is just like rearranging a puzzle. Medicines act from clearing the excess to filling the voids and helping them sustain. The action or effect of any matter depends on it's properties. Any effect apart from the expected shall be called a side effect. Not necessary that it be harmful everytime, though the term 'side effect' is mostly misunderstood for being harmful. In solving a puzzle knowledge of both the board and the blocks are equally important. Board being the living system, has got a unique constitution. The vast and wide range of action of the matter or medicine is thus like a blessing in disguise to the person who is attempting this puzzle. Most of the puzzle blocks might appear to suit many voids. But that most accurate block will have to be found from them. Mind first, Action second

As darkness to glare, dormant to eager, is thamas to rajas. Meanwhile sattva is the mind in its most deepest and purest form, or one's unique self. Dominance of sattva guna in mind is considered as the ideal. Sattva, rajas and tamas are the gunas or qualities that possess the characteristics of mind.  Rajo guna is responsible for the attraction, longing, attachment, expectation, anger, anxiety, fear, stress, frustration and restlessness. Thamo guna is responsible for the ignorance, disgust, laziness, boredom, shame, depression, confusion, addiction, sadness, and grief. Sattva guna is responsible for the freedom, delight, peace, bliss, wellness, gratitude, fearlessness, focus, empathy and contentment. Among the mano - gunas, rajas and tamas having extremely opposite characteristics are to be equally balanced.
